THE 12 GIANT GUARDIANS OF SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT Replicas of the 250-Year-Old Sentries at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew)In Thai culture, these majestic, fanged figures from the Ramakien (the national epic) stand guard at thresholds to block malevolent energies and ensure safety for all who depart or arrive.   Click the poster to see more details. 4 September we took the free buggy to Platinium Fashion Mall and we bought the food card amd ordered Must Eat Food. The food court closes real early (almost at 8pm). We ordered pad thai and crispy oyster pancake.  Review of Grab food 5th Sept-7th Sept My sister is a frequent traveller to bkk and she shared BKK grab food is a must to try! Over three nights, our Grab Food dinners in Bangkok were surprisingly delicious! The crab egg fried rice was fragrant and savoury, while the stir-fried squid noodles were crispy, flavourful and satisfying; the fish-ball noodles were apparently very famous in BKK! They were li...

7 Sept : Talat Noi Murals--> River City Bangkok Exhibition (RCB)

Image
Talat Noi: Where Industrial Grit Meets Vibrant Street Art Talat Noi is a masterclass in urban storytelling, where contemporary murals are painted directly onto century-old, weathered Chinese-Portuguese shophouses. The vibe here is a striking contrast of textures—vibrant modern graffiti sits side-by-side with active mechanic workshops, towering piles of metallic engine scraps, and the neighborhood's famous rusted vintage cars. What makes the art truly special is how interactive it feels. The murals seamlessly incorporate physical elements like real bicycles, old iron shutters, and even beautifully illustrated artistic manhole covers underfoot. It’s a living, breathing neighborhood where Bangkok’s creative future perfectly blends with its rich Chinese-Thai industrial heritage. River City Bangkok: A Modern Riverside Art Sanctuary Right on the edge of Talat Noi sits River City Bangkok , a dynamic hub for free-admission contemporary art exhibitions. The galleries offer a beautiful contr...

6 September: Wat Hua Lamphong and Rug Tufting

Image
We had such a memorable and creative day out in Bangkok, starting with a meaningful visit to Wat Hua Lamphong to make a traditional coffin donation.  Afterward, we switched gears and headed over to Aladdin Rug Tufting to completely unleash our creative sides. It was the perfect blend of a deeply local cultural experience and a fun, hands-on afternoon making our own custom rugs.

5 September: Chatuchak → Erawan--> BACC

Image
On 5 September, Mum and I enjoyed a fun-filled day in Bangkok, starting with a morning of browsing and shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market. And then we realised there is a MIXT CHATUCHAK which is Aircon! We then proceed to the beautiful Erawan Shrine.  Afterwhich, we went to BACC! What's inside? The higher floors (7th–9th) host large, rotating contemporary art exhibitions. The lower floors are a lively community space filled with independent art bookstores, craft shops, eco-boutiques, indie cafes, and open walls showcasing local student drawings and design projects.

🇹🇭 A Day Exploring Bangkok’s Grand Royal & Temple Heritage Our Bangkok temple day took us through four of the city’s most iconic landmarks — the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha Temple, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Each place offered something different, from royal grandeur and intricate architecture to peaceful courtyards and riverside views. 👑 Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha Temple The Site: The Grand Palace  is an impressive, highly decorated landmark. Wat Phra Kaew: Located inside the grounds, this is Thailand’s most sacred temple and houses the Emerald Buddha on a golden altar. Visitor Experience: While photography is banned inside the temple, the surrounding exterior architecture is spectacular. The complex can feel overwhelming, but focusing on the fine details makes it a memorable visit. 🧘 Wat Pho — Home of the Reclining Buddha From the Grand Palace, we continued to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and most famous temples. Its highlight is the enormous Reclining Buddh...

3rd Sept: From SG to BKK

Image
We took at 530pm flight and reached bangkok (dinner on board) before 730pm. But we took so long to complete yhe Digital Arrival Card (unknown to us) and we cleared the custom 30 min later. Fortunately we checked in luggage early and our luggage is still belting. SQ is embracing sustainability and the dinner they served us was using some sort of chinese food takeout box. We stayed in Pure Eleven and for 5 night, 5 breakfast we get it around 300++ sgd. Although the breakfast is not appetising but the vibe in the Restuarant is great and the coffee strangely cured my bad cough on 4 Sept! Stay tune for 4-8 sept 2026!
