DAY 1- 4 day 3 night Malacca Trip 16-19 March

 Day 1: 16th March 2025 

Checked in at Hatten Hotel!

I ordered a junior suit and so it is slightly larger.

12:30pm- St. Paul's Hill (Bukit St. Paul)

• After lunch, take a short walk to St. Paul’s Hill to explore the historical ruins of St. Paul’s Church, offering a panoramic view of the city. (15 min walk)

1:00pm - A Famosa (The A Famosa Fortress)

• Visit A Famosa, a Portuguese fort that is one of the oldest European architectural remnants in Southeast Asia. (5 min walk from St. Paul’s Hill)



1:30pm- Walk along Dutch Square and Visit Christ Church

• Head to the famous Dutch Square to admire the iconic red buildings and stop by Christ Church and the Stadthuys (the former Dutch colonial governor's residence). (10 min walk)

2pm-3pm: Visit the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum

• Explore the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum to learn about the unique blend of Malay and Chinese cultures through the lens of the Peranakan (Straits Chinese) community. 




3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Snack at Nancy’s Kitchen

• Address: 27, Jalan Kampung Pantai, 75200 Melaka

• What to expect: A traditional Nyonya restaurant, perfect for a snack or light meal. Try some famous Peranakan snacks like Nyonya dumplings or satay.

Dont forget to order ABC desset (menakng Ice kachang- but their kacjang is peanuts)

we returned to our hotel for a short break.

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Jonker Night Market

(only available on fridays-sunday)

• Address: Jonker Street, 75200 Melaka

• What to expect: The Jonker Night Market is a lively, bustling market with street food, local handicrafts, and entertainment. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, try local delicacies, and shop for souvenirs.
