DAY 3- 4 Day 3 Night Malacca 16 March to 19 March

Mall trail (and unexpected wall murals)

Day 3: 18th March 2025 (Starting at 11:00 AM

We ranked the malls in order of worthy to spend time or not (decreasing order of time to explore).

We started at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall (directly opposite to Hatten Malacca Hotel).

1.DARARAN PAHLAWAN MEGAMALL

This is indeed a Mega mall as it has 2 blocks! Unfortunately, it is not well maximised with shops and it looks like a modern Chinatown shopping centers in SG. The overseas brand is Adidas, Cotton on, Giodano, Bath and Body Works etc and the rest of the shops are local brands like F.O.S, Paladin etc.
It also has a cinema.
It has alot of affordable massages price at 120 min body massage RM 120 or 1 hour body RM 60 and 1 hour feet reflexology at RM 45.
Average spending time in the mall- less than 40 min

2. Mahkota Parade

This mall is small than dararan mall but it has more brands such as Parkson (their BHG mall equivalent) and it carries more international brands like Coach, Guess etc. Other shops like Pandora, The Green Party,  Adidas, Kappa, Bodyshop etc are also available. It also have reputable Jewellery shops.
The shops sells more youngsters or adults clothes such as Good2u and Common Sense (although local brands, but is palatable for shopping).
The eateries includes Secret receipes , The Mahattan Fish Market (more than Dararan and the only resturant is Hai Di Lao) etc.
As for user cost savings, it does not have that number of massafrd outlet as compared to the Dararan Pahlawan Megan Mall.
I will described as KSL (in johor equivalent).
Average spending time in the mall- less than 50 min

3. The Shore Shopping Gallery

Comprising a hotel, an oceanarium, a sky tower and a shopping mall, The Shore is definitely one of the modern developments in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The biggest attraction in The Shore would be its oceanarium, well-known for housing the world’s longest aquarium tunnel.
The Shore Shopping Gallery also consists of the Riverside Promenade, where a landscaped musical fountain will be built. A mangrove walkway where pedestrians can catch sight of crabs, shellfishes and such is also being planned. The Shore Shopping Gallery truly has everything in one location, ensuring that there is something to do for everybody.
Unfortunately, after MCO (movement control order), alot of shops.have closed down.

Average spending time in the mall- less than 10 min

However, if you walked across, you can see alot of Wall Murals via the Malacca River. Bring an umbrella along and you can walk all the way to Jonker Street!
This makes the visit of the mall (to get to the broadwalk) meaningful then any of the above mentioned malls.

Another wall mural!

Try your best to located this brown railing. This is the Broadway. Then you can walk (left of the photo) all the way to Jonker's street!

Of course, we managed to get a cheaper massage at the Dararan Pahlawan Mega Mall
2 hours RM 120 per pax!

4. HATTEN SQUARE
This mall is connected to the Hatten Hottel as well as its service apartment. There are only 2 brands- Braun Buffel as.well as H&M. The rest are 7-11, some restaurants, sports short, and even a buddhist shop. There is also a shop selling all types of jade. There is a famous bakery inside the mall that sells Chinese pastries.
Highly recommend every visitor to purchase!

I will rank it less than The Shore. If you are buying from H&M, you will need more than 1 hour.

Average spending time in the mall- less than 10 min
